Apple Corps has announced plans to transform 3 Savile Row, the historic London site of The Beatles’ final public performance, into a permanent visitor attraction and museum. Scheduled to open in 2027, the seven-story facility will serve as the first official museum dedicated to the band within the British capital.

The historic building at 3 Savile Row, which formerly served as the headquarters for the band’s Apple Corps multimedia corporation, will undergo an extensive renovation to become a ticketed museum experience. The project focuses on preserving the legacy of the impromptu rooftop concert held on January 30, 1969. During that event, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr, joined by keyboardist Billy Preston, performed for 42 minutes before the Metropolitan Police intervened due to noise complaints and traffic congestion.

The upcoming attraction will span seven floors, offering fans an in-depth look at the band's final years and the creative sessions that took place within the building’s basement studio. While London currently hosts numerous landmarks and walking tours related to the Fab Four, this development represents the first time Apple Corps has officially sanctioned a dedicated, large-scale museum in the city. The site is expected to feature a variety of exhibits, including rare memorabilia and technological recreations of the 1969 performance.

The decision to open the museum follows a resurgence in global interest regarding the band’s final chapter, fueled in part by the release of Peter Jackson’s "Get Back" documentary series. That project utilized restored footage to provide a detailed look at the rehearsals and the rooftop concert that marked the end of the group's live career. By converting the actual site of these events into a museum, Apple Corps intends to provide an authentic historical context for one of the most famous moments in music history.

Tourism officials expect the 2027 opening to significantly impact London’s cultural landscape, drawing international visitors to the Mayfair district. The project aims to balance historical preservation with modern museum standards, ensuring that the architectural integrity of 3 Savile Row remains intact while providing an immersive educational experience. Further details regarding specific exhibits and ticket availability are expected to be released as the 2027 launch date approaches.
